We build and migrate Shopify stores that are set up correctly from day one, so you can sell instead of fixing settings.
What we build
Shopify handles hosting, checkout and security, but a store still needs dozens of decisions made well: which plan fits your sales model, how products and variants are organised, which payment and shipping rules apply, and which apps are worth installing. We set up new stores and move existing shops onto Shopify with that groundwork done properly. The work is led by Zubair Shahzad, who also handles technical SEO and paid campaigns, so search and advertising needs are considered while the store is built, not patched in after launch. You get a store you can run yourself, with clear documentation.
Theme setup
An Online Store 2.0 theme configured with sections and JSON templates, so you can rearrange pages in the theme editor without touching code.
Catalogue structure
Products, variants, collections and metafields planned around how customers browse, filter and search, with clean handles and consistent naming.
Checkout essentials
Payment providers, shipping zones and rates, tax settings, policies and notification emails configured, then checked with test orders before launch.
Search-ready migration
Old URLs mapped to new Shopify URLs with 301 redirects, metadata carried over, and structured data checked so existing rankings are protected.
Common store problems
Most Shopify issues we see are not caused by the platform. They come from rushed setup: a theme loaded with unused apps, collections that do not match how people shop, or a migration that dropped hundreds of old URLs without redirects. These problems rarely show on launch day. They appear later as slow pages, lost search traffic and checkout questions. Our guide to choosing a Shopify development company covers what to check before you hire anyone, including us.
- Setup and structure
- Wrong plan for sales volume
- Variants split into separate products
- Duplicate or messy product handles
- Missing shipping and tax rules
- Speed and apps
- Too many overlapping apps installed
- Leftover app code after uninstalling
- Oversized images and hero videos
- Heavy theme customisations slowing pages
- Search and channels
- Old URLs left without redirects
- Thin or duplicated product descriptions
- Product feed errors in Merchant Center
- Catalogue not synced to Meta
How we work
Every project follows the same five steps, whether it is a new store or a migration.
- Free review. We look at your products, current site or platform, markets and goals, then recommend a Shopify plan, theme approach and app list, with anything we think you do not need.
- Plan and map. We agree the catalogue structure, navigation and page list. For migrations, we export existing URLs and build a redirect map before anything moves.
- Build and configure. We set up the theme, import products and customers, and configure payments, shipping, taxes, policies, domains and notification emails in your own Shopify account.
- Test and launch. We place test orders, check mobile layouts, page speed, redirects and structured data, connect Google and Meta sales channels, then remove the storefront password together.
- Train and hand over. We walk you through adding products, managing orders and editing sections, and leave written notes so your team can run the store without us.
What's included
| Area | What we do |
|---|---|
| Plan and apps | Plan recommendation, app shortlist and removal of apps that duplicate built-in Shopify features |
| Theme | Online Store 2.0 theme setup, section layout, branding and custom sections where a theme falls short |
| Catalogue | Products, variants, collections, metafields, filters and navigation menus |
| Store settings | Payments, shipping profiles, taxes, markets, policies, domain and customer notifications |
| Shopify SEO | Titles, meta descriptions, image alt text, product structured data check and 301 redirects for migrations |
| Sales channels | Google & YouTube and Facebook & Instagram channel connection, product feed checks, launch checklist and training |
No two stores need the same work, so we do not publish fixed packages. After the free review we send a written scope listing exactly what is included, what is not, and the delivery steps. The price is quoted per project from that scope, and nothing outside it is added without your agreement.
Popular questions
Straight answers to the questions store owners ask most before starting a Shopify build or migration. If yours is not here, email contact@softlearnhub.com or use our contact page.

Which Shopify plan should I start on?
It depends on your order volume, staff accounts, reporting needs and where you sell. Many new stores start on Basic and upgrade later, because changing plans does not require rebuilding the store. We compare current plan features and transaction fees against your expected sales during the free review and recommend the lowest plan that covers what you actually need.
Can you migrate my store without losing search rankings?
Shopify uses fixed URL prefixes such as /products/ and /collections/, so most old URLs will change. We export every indexed URL from your current site, map each one to its new Shopify address, and add 301 redirects before launch. We also carry over titles and descriptions, then monitor Search Console for crawl errors after the switch.
Do you build custom themes or customise existing ones?
For most stores we start from a well-supported Online Store 2.0 theme and customise it, because you keep theme updates and can edit layouts in the theme editor. When a design needs something the theme cannot do, we build custom sections in Liquid. A fully custom theme only makes sense for unusual layouts or brand requirements.
Will you set up Google Shopping and Meta catalogue selling?
Yes. We install Shopify’s Google & YouTube and Facebook & Instagram sales channels, connect your accounts, and fix product data issues that block approval, such as missing identifiers or policy pages. Running and optimising the ads themselves is a separate service, covered by our Google Ads management and Meta Ads services.
How do you keep a Shopify store fast?
Speed problems usually come from apps, large media and theme edits rather than Shopify hosting. We install only apps that earn their place, remove leftover code from uninstalled ones, compress and correctly size images, and avoid autoplaying video above the fold. Before launch we test key templates with PageSpeed Insights and fix the largest issues it reports.
