What we manage

Google Ads only works as well as the data it learns from. Automated bidding, Performance Max and audience signals all depend on conversions being recorded correctly, so we start with measurement before we touch budgets. From there we build and run campaigns that match how your customers actually search and buy, whether you sell services, generate B2B leads or run an online store. You keep full ownership of the Google Ads account, the GA4 property and all the data. We work inside it as a manager or user, and every change is visible in the account’s change history.

Conversion tracking setup

GA4 key events, Google tag, enhanced conversions and consent mode configured and tested, so Google Ads counts real leads and purchases.

Search and Shopping

Keyword-led Search campaigns and Shopping campaigns fed by a clean Google Merchant Center product feed, structured around your margins and priorities.

Performance Max and Demand Gen

Asset groups, audience signals and brand exclusions set up deliberately, plus Demand Gen and YouTube campaigns for reaching people before they search.

Ongoing optimisation

Search term reviews, negative keywords, bid strategy targets, ad copy tests and budget shifts handled on a set review schedule, not left to run unattended.

Common account problems

Many underperforming Google Ads accounts are not short of budget. They are held back by tracking gaps, loose targeting or campaigns that were set up once and never revisited. Smart Bidding then optimises toward the wrong signal, and spend drifts to searches that never convert. These are the issues we look for first, because fixing them usually matters more than adding new campaigns. If you are comparing providers, our guide on what to check before you hire a Google Ads agency covers the questions worth asking.

How we work

Every engagement follows the same sequence, so measurement is right before money is scaled.

  1. Account and tracking review. We read your current campaigns, conversion actions, GA4 setup and landing pages, then send a written summary of what is working, what is broken and what we would change first.
  2. Measurement fixes. We set up or repair the Google tag, GA4 key events, enhanced conversions and consent mode, then test every conversion action so reported numbers match your real enquiries and orders.
  3. Campaign build or restructure. We organise Search, Shopping, Performance Max, Demand Gen or YouTube campaigns around your products, services and goals, with keyword lists, negatives, ad copy and assets prepared.
  4. Landing page alignment. We check that each ad group lands on a relevant, fast page with a clear next step, and recommend specific edits where the page and the ad message do not match.
  5. Bidding and optimisation. We choose bid strategies such as Maximise conversions or Target ROAS once there is enough conversion data, then refine targets, search terms and budgets on a regular schedule.
  6. Monthly reporting. You get a plain-English report covering spend, conversions, cost per conversion or return on ad spend, what changed during the month and what we plan next.

Answers to the questions business owners ask most before handing over a Google Ads account. If yours is not here, email contact@softlearnhub.com or use the contact page.

Who owns the Google Ads account and data?

You do. The Google Ads account, billing profile, GA4 property and Merchant Center account stay in your name. We are added as a manager account or user with the access level you choose, and you can remove that access at any time. Campaigns, conversion history and audience lists remain in your account if we stop working together.

Smart Bidding and Performance Max optimise toward whatever the account counts as a primary conversion. If a form view, duplicate purchase or newsletter signup is counted as a sale, Google spends to find more of the wrong thing. Fixing the Google tag, GA4 key events, enhanced conversions and consent mode first means every later bidding decision uses accurate signals.

It depends on your goal and data. Search campaigns give you direct control over keywords and ad copy, which suits services and lead generation. Performance Max runs across Search, Shopping, YouTube, Display, Discover, Gmail and Maps from one campaign and usually needs solid conversion data to work well. Many accounts use both, with brand exclusions and clear roles for each.

You need a Google Merchant Center account linked to Google Ads, a product feed that meets Google’s data specifications, and a website that shows matching prices, availability, shipping and return information. We check feed errors and disapprovals, then build Shopping or Performance Max campaigns. If your store runs on Shopify, our Shopify development service can fix store-side issues too.

Each report covers spend, clicks, conversions, cost per conversion or return on ad spend by campaign, and the search terms that drove results. It also lists the changes we made that month, such as new negatives, bid target updates or ad tests, and what we plan to do next. It is written in plain language, not exported dashboards.
